Rainbow X Adventure Extravaganza

One of the Cooloola Coast’s largest annual events is just around the corner as skydivers, paragliders and avid fans get ready for the Rainbow X Adventure festival on 11-13 April.

Skydivers will be coming from across the globe to compete in the Gold Rush World Cup of Accuracy where they will be jumping from a helicopter at an altitude of 1000m and competing to land on a target the size of a ten cent piece and scored for every centimeter that they are away from it.

They will be jumping from the Friday to Sunday.

In addition to this, there will be a group of paragliders running their own competitions and events.

They have races and accuracy competitions over the Saturday and Sunday.

However, they are a little more weather dependent than the skydivers are and depending on the conditions they will hopefully be able to fly from Carlo sand blow but if not they will use Teewah as their backup location.

Red Bull will be coming up on the Friday and Saturday and providing some music for spectators and jumpers as well.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged to attend and chat with the competitors throughout the event and there is no entry fee for spectators.
