Golinski Electrifies Noosa

You could be forgiven for assuming ZEN’s annual EV Expo will simply be a showcase for motoring enthusiasts to view the exciting developments unfolding within the space of electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

However, this year the Expo has expanded due to popular demand to incorporate a large component of electrification for the household and business as part of a wider movement of Rewiring Noosa.

Due to the ever and rapidly increasing cost of living, driven largely by the rising costs accessing traditional forms of power, this year we are pleased to announce the 2024 Noosa EV and Electrify Everything Expo.

Showcasing the very best the motor vehicle industry has to offer in EVs and hybrids, this year attendees can also expect to learn more about how to introduce simple and hugely effective cost saving measures to their homes and businesses. From sustainability advice and assessments to energy saving heat pumps, solar, battery advice and everything in between as well as innovative solar powered and fully electric marine craft. Even solar powered standalone carports will be displayed on the day.

And for the cooking enthusiast, the team at Zero Emissions Noosa are delighted to announce the involvement of our local celebrity chef Matt Golinski, who will be there to demonstrate one of Hastings Street’s most renowned, simple and elegant seafood dishes using induction cooktops.

During the demonstration you will learn all about the pros and cons of cooking with induction, including the cost benefits of combining induction with solar to maximise the return on your investment.

Matt Golinski (a recent inductee into the list of Noosa Shire residents choosing to take control of their own resources), states plainly: “Throughout my 34 years of professional cooking I have been resistant to cooking using induction.

“Now, having installed a 8.7kW solar system and battery at my home 12 months ago and being able to produce my own power, I have finally decided to rip out my old gas kitchen and replace entirely with induction and electric appliances and I am so excited! It just didn’t make any sense to use anything else at home any more now that I am in control of my own power supply.”

It was due to this change of heart that Matt was excited to be invited to take part in this year’s expo and help other residents to understand the benefits which have swayed him so significantly in his home usage.

Having installed his own solar and battery system and seen the benefits, Matt is now keen to see what is on offer at the Expo and take advantage of any and all advice available on the day to understand if and how to expand on what is currently installed and further leverage what is available (including but not limited to induction cooktops and electric ovens).

There will be three sessions on offer at Noosa Culinary Academy with Matt Golinski on the day, each limited to 20 attendees so be sure to pre-register for this exciting free opportunity to access the best Noosa culinary expertise on offer and take home some precious gems to impress. Be sure to check our website for announcements to pre-register for this exciting event.

If you, like Matt, would like to learn more, come to our EV and Electrify Everything Expo on 16 Jun, 9am-1pm, Sunshine Beach Road, Noosa Junction. Go to noosaevexpo.com.au for more details. Are you interested in finding out more or joining Zero Emissions Noosa? Go to zeroemissionsnoosa.com.au
