Practical self-defence workshop for women

During Domestic and Family Violence Awareness month, the Pomona & District Community House is offering a practical self-defence workshop in support of the safety of all women.

The workshop will be run by Charlotte Degiorgio and Kim Vines, both Karate teachers here on the Sunshine Coast.

Charlotte and Kim are both looking forward to teaching, educating and empowering to anyone who is willing to learn. The workshop will be held at Pomona Memorial Hall on Sunday 26 May from 9.30 to 11.30. The cost is $5.00 which includes a light morning tea. There are limited spots available and booking are essential. For more information or to book call 5485 2427.

Please note that in the interest of creating a safe space for participants, this workshop is for women only. If there is enough interest from men, another workshop will be scheduled at a later date.
