Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club Inter-school Regatta

The Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club ran its annual Sunshine Coast Inter-school regatta over the weekend for its 21st year.

A great turnout of 16 teams from Gympie through to Mooloolaba contested in Primary and Secondary school divisions.

The teams sailed over the two days of the weekend with a two pool round robin heats and then a repechage to see which teams made the final three races.

The top three boats from each pool progressed straight to the finals and the top two of the repechage. Final places were determined on results of the three final races.

Rain on Sunday for the finals couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm or competition.

The winners of the Primary Division were Lachlan Sinclair, Harry Cumner and Zach May from Good Shepherd Lutheran College.

In the Secondary Division, first place went to Hana-Lena Jenkin and Ava Brew from Mathew Flinders Anglican College.
