Noosa Netball Association (NNA) offers competitions and programs for those aged from five years.
The club currently offers three competitions a year, including their Saturday junior competition starting in March and their ladies indoor competition starting in February (with season two commencing in July).
NNA is this year pleased to be introducing ‘social walking netball’ starting in February. Whilst it is a slower version of the game, it is still netball but at a walking pace. It has been designed so anyone can play, regardless of age, ability or fitness level. It’s a great way to stay active with minimal risk of injury. Players can meet a bunch of new friends, increase their fitness levels and have some fun.
The club also runs various coaching clinics and umpiring courses for the benefit of their members. There is also the opportunity for players who aspire to go to the next level to try out for representative teams. This year the NNA will be taking three teams and two development teams to various one-day carnivals and state events throughout Queensland.
NNA is an accredited Net Set Go centre and offers a program which is fun, safe, and social for girls and boys aged five to 10 years. This program aims to give children of all abilities a positive introduction to netball.
The club proudly says that ‘Netball is the biggest participating sport for women and girls in Australia and our membership base has shown a steady increase with numbers currently standing at over 900.’
