Dan Hicks is gone away
Playing a blend of folk, funk and chilled rock that Dan Hicks would have approved of, Nambour’s Bub-Kiss kicked off the Surf Unearthed series at Café Le Monde last Sunday afternoon. Along with a very cool acoustic duo called Touch, they brightened a rainy and surfless afternoon. Surf Unearthed continues next Sunday at Cafe Le Monde, with one of the bands earning a gig at the Laguna Real Estate Noosa Festival of Surfing.
