AN average person eats 40 teaspoons of sugar per day, so healthy living crusader Damon Gameau put his health and well-being on the line to find out how eating so much sugar impacts our health.
Damon’s 60-day journey was captured as a documentary and released in 2014 as That Sugar Film, a movie that Jamie Oliver has described as a “definite must see”.
The movie features cameos from people such as Stephen Fry and Isabel Lucas and takes a close look at the impact of sugar on the everyday diet.
Now Noosa local business owner Luke Nuske from Maluka Produce, who first saw the movie in Brisbane, is hoping to bring the film to Noosa.
“Maluka firmly believes in the healthy message the Sugar Film is spreading,” Luke said.
“We wanted to provide the opportunity for parents and children of Noosa to see the film.”
Luke is hoping to hold a special screening of That Sugar Film at BCC Noosa 5 Cinemas on Wednesday 24 June, from 6.30pm.
Tickets are available now at $20 per person and are available at Maluka Produce, 175 Eumundi Noosa Road, Noosaville, or online through www.fan-force.com
