Bright night of glitz and glam

THINK Marilyn Monroe, Frank and Nancy Sinatra, Shirley Bassey and Cherry Ripe.
Yes, that’s right, Eumundi Hall is about to get a little steamy when the Doo Wop Dolls present A Vaudeville Affair on Friday night.
Made up of a group of 20 talented local performers, the Dolls will present a wonderful night of fun, laughter, singing, dancing and frivolity.
Lead by producer Melissa Isles, who is becoming renowned for her fabulous shows and outstanding stage designs, the performance comes following the success of last year’s show the ‘D’Vine Burlesque Show’.
The Burlesque L’Amour dancing girls, all from the local area, have been rehearsing in between dropping off and picking up children from school and, will perform sensual burlesque, up-beat jazz and of course the high energy Can-Can on the night.
Amy the ‘Jewel’, also from the local area is a beautiful pole dancer and is sure to wow the audience with her athletic ability and precision as she takes the whole weight of her body on one arm or leg.
Carl Beck, a Noosa favourite will also be performing some favourite Frank Sinatra songs and there will be a half-man/half-woman act, which has been named ‘the act with a secret’.
In addition, the hilarious Drag Queens, popular stars of Drag Bingo will have you bent over with laughter, while the fantastic tap/clog dancers will get you tapping and clapping along.
So come along and dress up in ’20s to ’60s gear, as there will be a prize for the best dressed.
The event is suited for those aged 18 to 103. Cost is $45. To book phone 5473 9498.
