Noosa sends Cats running

By PETA HOLMES

IT WAS a hard-earned win by Noosa White this week, defeating Nambour Golden Cats by three goals to two.
Goals were scored by DJ Tantayakorn, Charlee Benton and Eli Robinson who had several worthy shots at goal.
Again, great defence by Adler Lenitschek who also had some great efforts in attack.
Star goalie Micah Elvy is unstoppable, diving fearlessly to save the day.
Kiri Todhunter got possession, broke away and made a good run, taking the ball right up to the goal.
Under 7 Gold played a strong and exciting game against the unity vipers, scoring three goals to the Vipers’ five, Bella Hillegers, Harrison Howard and Joel Fitzgerald scoring each of the goals.
Joel Fitzgerald won player of the match with the goal of the year!
This week our Under 8 Black team had another win, winning 7-1 to the Buderim Panthers.
The Noosa Eagles went out hard scoring their first goal within the first minute. The boys did an excellent job with Keiran Dow constantly in fighting for the ball and Jake MacDonald also showing how much he has improved.
Charlie Drew did a great job as always as the all-rounder with a big kick on him in defence.
Goal kickers this week were Alaska Rosenkranz (4), Ethan Messenger (2) and Jaimen Slavin (1).
One thing learnt this week was to just have a go, the worse that can happen is to miss.
That’s just what the boys did – had a go! Great effort.
Goalies Isaac Benjamin and Jaimen Slavin both stood their ground only letting one well deserved goal slip through.
Under 10 Noosa Gold played against Caloundra Green at Maroochydore.
Noosa lost 1-2.
Goal scored by Jude Youens.
Player of the week was Oscar Morgan.
