Ladies Pennants Monday 29 June
Pomona played a combined team from Gympie/Sunshine Clubs but unfortunately lost the morning game.
However the good news was that the team won the afternoon game earning two points.
Ladies Triples Championship Finals
Congratulations to Sharon Foale, Gaye Bible and Veronis O’Connor (s) who defeated Jeanne Price, Elizabeth Dewhirst and Jocelyn Rabjohns (s).
Ladies B Grade Championship format will be a round robin contest on Wednesday 8 July.
Thursday men’s game only has a few players and members are asked to show their support.
Friday Twilight – winners were top ladies team of Sheena Millar and Desley O’Neill.
Runners up were Jeanne Price and Rick Groulding.
As the jackpot was not won it carried over.
Stunning winter sunshine greeted bowlers for Saturdays Eumundi Smokehouse sponsored open pairs.
A new format over the three games featuring switching roles between lead and skip, with different partners and opposition for each round made for full-on involvement of all players. Consistency paid off on the day with Desley O’Neil leading the way with a +17 margin followed by Keith Muir with +12.
Members are encouraged to put their names on the whiteboard for Wednesday’s Neilsen’s sponsored selected triples beginning at 9.30am.
TEWANTIN NOOSA BOWLS CLUB
THIS Sunday the club is hosting the open pairs as part of the Sunshine Coast Winter Bowls Carnival.
Saturday Open Pairs
The winners were Peter Hallman and Bill Thorne.
The runners up were Sharon Briggs and Richard Styles.
Open Triples winners were Ed Sayers, Betsy and Roy Cornish.
The runners up were Beryl Nelson, Fay Hewson and Margaret King.
The Triples Jackpot was not won and carries over.
The pairs $102 jackpot was won by Briggs/Styles.
Ladies Scroungers winners of the ones were Sue Mould, Pam Styles, Bill Thorne and Jeanette Emery.
Winners of the two were Tom Goddard, Graham Theil, Gill McDonald and Neta Sondergeld. Winners of the threes were Maggie Brown, Mary Ross, Beryl Nelson and Julie Anderson.
The winners of the fourths were Julie Boyer, Liz Thomson and Carole Jones.
Laguna Real Estate Wednesdays Men’s Pairs
The winners were David Hawkesford and Scott Roney (2+21 pts).
The runners up were Kevin Coghlan and Joe Dawe (1+12 pts).
The jackpot of $272 was won by David Clark, Bill Jones, Mike Lowe and Gary Moss.
Thursday open pairs winners were Neil Walsh and Ian Sanday.
The runners up were Val and Col Bush.
Jackpot was not won so it carries over.
Noosa Radiology Friendly Friday Triples
Winners were Phil Coman, Bill and Carol Jones and the runners up were Connie Johnston, Val Reinicke and Peter Larke.
The jackpot of $208 was not won and carries over.
Pat Becker is leaving for NSW and members wish her all the best.

Tuesday jackpot pairs winners were Garry Mitchell and partner.
Thursday evening results of the Twilight Triples
Night Owls lost to Cormorants 10-11, Bushrangers defeated Eumundi Boys 25-6, Apotukis defeated Galahs 13-12, Rough and Revie defeated XFactor 13-9, Royal Flush defeated Bee Stings 16-12.
For those who would like to come along and try barefoot bowls or get some coaching there is someone on the greens on Friday afternoons after 2.30pm.
Final of the Fours was held on Sunday and the winners were Margaret Coventry, Gwyn Bruce, Lynne Hateley-James and Annabel Wearne.
Runners up with only three players was Irene Aves, Eileen Reece and Bettina Winkler.
It was a closely fought match with 17-16 on the second last end.
With four bowls up, Bettina put in a beautiful bowl to take the winning team down to one bowl down.
Annabel had to do an up-shot to take out the bowl and beautifully executed the upshot to win by four. Nail-biting stuff.
The Ladies and Men’s Triples Championships will commence on 26 July, entries to be in by 21 July.
