Player out

By RICHARD MURRIHY

FIRST we all wish Lewis a speedy recovery from his injury sustained on Saturday. Hopefully his recovery is only the three weeks that he has been told.
With the weather perfect it made for good softball on the weekend. Noosa under-15s batted first and had a great start with Shinai putting one over the fence to score three runs and the team backed up with another two. While in the field Shinae struck out two batters and Riley took a fly catch at first 5-0 after 1.
In the second innings, Noosa only got one home but kept it together in the field again with Shinae pitching two strike outs and Shinai to Riley out at first.
The third saw a better batting effort with Jacob hitting a three bagger and Riley a two bagger to get seven over the plate. Again Shinae pitched two strike outs and Riley caught a line drive.
The fourth innings saw Noosa have three safe hits and again pile on seven over the plate, while Cavs mounted a mini comeback getting five runs of their own as Noosa relaxed a bit.
Shinai took a catch to round out a good game. Noosa won 20-5.
The under-17s played each other with Black getting the points over White 8-5. A good even game between the two teams.
The Noosa men beat the Budgie Smugglers in a good all round performance.
Injuries had an effect this week with a few players carrying injuries into the game to keep the numbers up but limiting their performance.
