Seniors celebrate with cuppa and cake

WHAT better way to celebrate a life well lived than with coffee and cake with friends?
The Noosa Leisure Centre and Noosa Aquatic Centre celebrated Seniors Week last week by holding morning teas for their senior members.
The Noosa Aquatic Centre members celebrated on Wednesday 19 August with coffee and cake supplied by Damien Smith and the team at Nourish Cafe, while the members of Noosa Leisure Centre enjoyed a morning tea on Thursday 20 August.
Sport and recreational facilities marketing officer Donna Frey said there was a great representation of members at the morning tea and it was a wonderful way to thank the centre’s members for their support.
“We had members from indoor bowls, group fitness seniors classes, badminton and table tennis represented which was a wonderful spread of seniors enjoying activities at Noosa Leisure Centre,” she said.
Seniors Week is an opportunity for locals of all ages to join together and celebrate the valuable contribution of older people.
Seniors Week aims to facilitate community participation and activity by older people and enhance community connections and inter-generational relationships.
