Beer lovers sink a brew or two

LOCALS and visitors have helped raise over $8000 for local charities all for the love of beer and cider.
The inaugural Craft Beer Festival, held at the Noosa Reef Hotel on Saturday 29 August, brought together over 20 brewers and 80 beers and ciders in aid of breast cancer and local charity Sunshine Butterflies.
Noosa Reef Hotel venue manager Terence Lunney said the day was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting the unique event.
“It was an awesome day and a massive result all over,” he said. “Next year will be even bigger and better.”
Local police said the crowds were well-behaved and it appeared everyone was having a great day tasting the host of beers and cider on offer throughout the day.
