THANK you to Julie Hemsley who captured this battle of the birds while walking along Marcus Beach one afternoon. Julie said she stopped to take a photo of a bird she didn’t recognise when one of the local Brahminy kites swooped down and chased the bird away.
“I looked it up when I got home and am fairly certain it is a Common Noddy,” she said. “I know they are found further north and on Norfolk and Lord Howe Island but I haven’t seen one here before.”
