NOOSA’S Biggest Community Survey is coming to a letterbox near you as Noosa MP Glen Elmes gets ready to hear what the community thinks on a range of issues.
Due to be posted from Monday 14 September, the three-page survey covers a range of topics from same-sex marriage to euthanasia, development in Noosa to camping on Noosa North Shore and everything in between.
Mr Elmes said he wanted to find out what the community thought when it came to some of the region’s most important issues such as how locals rated the overall health services in Noosa Shire, whether parents were satisfied with class numbers in their child’s school, and the contentious topic of the Eumundi, Doonan, Verrierdale re-boundary debate.
Over 20,000 homes will receive the survey in the post from Tuesday 15 September, with the survey also available online at www.glenelmes.com
“The questions in the survey don’t always refer to State Government, but they are issues that are in the minds of people and are currently being debated in the community,” Mr Elmes said.
“I want to get a better understanding of the electorate and what people want.”
Mr Elmes said he had included a range of questions to help understand what issues were most important to people.
“Residents can answer all the questions, or just the ones they are passionate about,” he said.
The survey will include a reply paid address for Mr Elmes’ office, so anyone who filled out the form could put it straight into the post box.
“We’re hoping thousands of people will want to have their say so we’ve made the return process as easy as possible,” he said.
