THE popular Sit Down Comedy Club will be back at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club on Friday night for another evening of side-splitting laughter.
Headlining the show is Brisbane-based comedian Danny McGinlay, who has been performing stand-up since he was 16.
Hailing from Melbourne, Danny has performed in London, New York, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and all over Australia, but has enjoyed a regular gig in Brisbane since 2004.
“The Paddo Tavern is one of my favourite clubs to play in the world,” he said. “The Queensland audiences are so much fun. They’re proper Australians. All they need is beer, sunshine and a laugh.”
Danny will be supported by fellow comedians Ting Lim and Joe Shaffer, with Peter Grose as MC for the night.
Peter has been in the business of making people laugh for over 16 years and has previously performed in Los Angeles, New York and all over Australia.
Known as the thinking-man’s comic, Peter delivers a fast-paced combination of comedy, music and dramatic skills to give the audience a very slick, very funny performance.
Danny McGinlay, along with Peter Grose, Ting Lim and Joe Shaffer, will perform at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club on Friday 9 October, from 8pm.
Tickets are $15 for members and $18.50 for non-members. Phone the Surf Club reception on 5447 5491 to book your tickets.
