Rock your world

You can catch The American Classics at the Tewantin Noosa RSL, on Friday 9 October at 8pm.

THE American Classics cover band pride themselves on presenting hit after hit after hit. Their performance is sure to delight even the most discerning music lover with a range of classic American songs from the 1960s to now.
Lead singer Michael Stangel was a finalist on “The Voice” in 2013 and successfully made the top three on Team Joel Madden.
Michael has also been involved with many of Australia’s biggest acts such as Shannon Noll and The Veronicas. Michael has played some of the world’s most famous venues including The Viper Room and House of Blues in Los Angeles, and the SXSW festival in Texas. He is enigmatic on stage and has a presence that energises the crowd and his bandmates alike.
Long-time friend and musical genius, Dave Stevens plays bass and sings.
His history is simply unbeatable. He is the son of AC/DC’s Bon Scott – who was arguably one of the biggest Rock Stars the world has ever known.
Dave has been a large part of the iconic St Kilda music fraternity for the past decade having toured here and overseas with bands. His credits include Linch Pin (America + Japan) Jeff Lang, Sonic Youth and Tim Rogers just to name a few.
On drums, Stewie rounds out the band with his unique skill, vocals and wit.
He is a typical North Queenslander with a can do attitude.
As well as touring nationally and overseas on many occasions with Michael, he has worked with some of the greatest musicians on the planet such as P!NK’s guitarist, Justin Derrico.
