A PERFECT spring day is expected for the third river festival on the Noosa Boathouse lawn with live music, street food and cold drinks all on offer.
The Spring River Fest will kick off at noon this Sunday 11 October with delicious street food from Noosa Boathouse chef Shane Bailey, drinks supplied by Stone and Wood Beer and live music from some fantastic local acts.
Setting the mood with his chilled out tunes will be Sean Fitzgerald from 1pm, followed by local talent Matt Stillert from 3pm, and Jay Bishoff from 5pm.
The festival will be a warm welcome back to the coast for Jay, the original creator of the Peregian Originals, who has just returned after almost four years living in Bali.
The festival is free of charge, although optional donations can be made to Sunshine Butterflies Charity at the entrance.
Noosa Boathouse owner Phil Bradford said the festival is perfectly timed to keep the celebrtions going after the school holidays.
“This festival comes after two huge weeks with school holidays and is a chance to bring Noosa together and make the most of this fantastic warm weather and enjoy one of our best assets – the Noosa River,” he said.
Phil said he encouraged people to bring their family and friends down and enjoy the atmosphere, entertainment and sunset on the river.
Noosa Boathouse has had a facelift, with some work recently done to the front of the vessel, including a new coffee bar – Little Boaty on the front deck. The awesome Wolff Coffee will be available on Sunday, along with fish and chips and other delicious street food.
