IN a first, the Noosa Film Society is presenting a weekend of internationally acclaimed films that everyone can enjoy.
Named Love and Adventure, these award-winning movies are being screened at the Noosa 5 cinema complex from Friday 6 November until Sunday 8 November.
Recent co-host of ABC At the Movies David Stratton has given his stamp of approval to the program, saying: “it looks to be an exciting and stimulating weekend of quality cinema”.
The selection of films cross all genres from romance and drama to comedy and suspense, so movie lovers can be sure to find a movie they just have to see.
The festival starts on Friday 6 November with a party and celebration in the Coffee Club next to Noosa 5 before a screening of The Lobster.
Starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz, this is a wickedly funny and bizarre satire of our couple-fixated society. Tickets for the opening celebrations and the film are $25 per person.
Six more films will be shown over Saturday and Sunday and tickets are $15 each with special discounts for Noosa Film Society members.
Tickets are now on sale at the Noosa 5 Cinema box office so get in early as the films won’t be screened anywhere else in the Noosa Shire.
