THE Noosa Surf Film Festival is on this weekend with two days of music, art, film and parties all in the name of surf culture.
The two-day festival kicks off on Friday 23 October and runs to Saturday 24 October, with film screenings to be held at The J, Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads.
The inaugural Noosa Surf Film Festival (NSFF) aims to be a platform for the increasing amount of creativity and talent rising throughout the community and the world through surf culture.
Event organisers said Noosa’s surf culture was vibrant and creative and the festival was a great way to showcase the best the surf community has to offer.
Highlights of the festival include an art show to be held on the opening night, Friday 23 October, at The J, with plenty of stalls, live music and festival vibes on offer, plus a free screening of local surfboard shaper Tom Wegener’s For The Love at Threads Project, Junction Alley, 24 Lanyana Way, on Saturday 24 October, from 3pm.
Tickets to the film screenings are $15 per person or $60 for a festival pass. Films will be shown at The J, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads.
