The council is busy helping the community to recycle as part of its Towards Zero Waste campaign that aims to create a more sustainable and rubbish-free Noosa.
The long-term campaign is all about getting more recyclable rubbish into the yellow-lid bin and out of landfill, with the launch coinciding with National Recycling Week from 9 to 14 November.
The Towards Zero Waste campaign is in keeping with Noosa’s community jury’s recommendations and saw council staff manning pop-up booths through the shire last week to help answer recycling questions.
A group of Noosa residents were more than happy to share their three top tips for recycling in the hope of inspiring others to reduce, reuse and recycle.
