WALLACE Park Learning and Lifestyle day centre is throwing its doors open to the public and inviting visitors to join in the many fun activities planned for its annual open day.
Support and operations manager Julie Elford said the open day was a chance for people with an impairment to come along and check out the centre and to meet the staff and potential new friends.
“We will have activities planned, music, and a sausage sizzle,” Ms Elford said.
The day centre provides people who live with an impairment a wide variety of fun and interactive activities, selected by the participants, including art programs, cooking classes, gardening workshops, exercise, sport, computer activities and many more.
Currently there are 21 people who attend the centre with a range of different needs and requirements who are supported by the friendly staff who work alongside participants enhancing independence, confidence and interaction skills.
The endeavour Foundation’s Wallace Park Learning and Lifestyle day centre will open its doors on Thursday 4 February between 9.30am and noon.
