THE Nambour Swimming Pool hosted the Noosa District State High School’s (NDSHS) annual senior swimming carnival.
Students and staff proudly dressed in their house colours and cheered on their team-mates in a variety of events, including an obstacle course swim, swimming heats and championship finals, house swims, freestyle and T-shirt relays and a rescue race.
House pride was on show with the war cry competition, which was a very loud and close contest among the four houses; Borumba, Pinbarren, Cooroora and Tinbeerwah.
The rainy weather held off for the carnival, with grey skies clearing in the morning and the afternoon proving to be rather steamy, which suited all those in the pool.
The Year 12 students marked their last swimming carnival with a group photo and final swim in the pool to conclude the day’s proceedings.
