SCADaddle for heart’s sake

LOCAL businesswoman and healthy, fit mum Kahryn Parcheta had a sudden heart attack last year at the age of 39.
With no risk factors for heart disease, Kahryn’s heart attack was caused by a Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) and the local mum is now on a mission to raise awareness for the fatal condition.
Kahryn has joined forces with fellow SCAD survivor Sarah Ford to raise awareness through a 5km fun run, or SCADaddle, on Sunday 3 April.
Participants can walk or run with the activities kicking off at 9am along Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.
Virtual walkers across Australia as well as parrallel walks in Sydney, Melbourne and Tasmania will take place on the day.
