CELEBRATE Easter with two crowd favourites performing live at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club.
Kick off Easter Saturday with Noosa’s own The Vibe who will lay down their unique blend of traditional country, blues, southern rock and folk music.
The Vibe return to their roots as they perform originals inspired by music from their youth heavily influenced by country music and blues played on their own terms.
The Vibe have been very busy of late; the last few years have been jam packed with gigs all over the sunshine coast, and 2016 looks to be an even bigger year as they plan to hit the recording studio to record their first album in over 10 years.
You will also find the band playing at all the major festivals throughout Queensland this year including Gympie Muster and Urban Country.
With a plethora of musical tastes and backgrounds The Vibe shows no limitations with their writing ability and style.
But don’t rest too much on Easter Sunday with the much-loved Rooftop Duo taking to the stage to round out the weekend.
The duo, Col Meredith and Grant Byrne, are resident favourites at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club and are ready to rock you into the public holiday with their crowd-pleasing melodies.
Rooftop play the songs of the 60’s and 70’s with Col on vocals, harmonica and acoustic guitar, and Grant on vocals, bass guitar and percussion.
Together, the two belt out a sound that makes one wonder where the other musicians are hiding.
Embracing the songs of Neil Young, Cat Stevens, CCR, the Stones, Doors, Dylan, The Rooftop Duo do tremendous justice to the original recordings.
Head to the Sunshine Beach Surf Club on Saturday 26 March at 3pm to catch The Vibe, and on Sunday 27 March from 3pm you could groove along to The Rooftop Duo. For more information head to www.sunshinebeachslsc.com.au or call the club on 5447 5491.
