Divorce, for laughs

NOMINATED for an Olivier Award, “My Brilliant Divorce” is a witty and intelligent look at something so many of us have been through – the end of a relationship and the start of something new.
Blossom Goodchild stars in this rollicking one-woman show, and brings to life the loveable Angela Kennedy Lipsky as she rides the roller coaster that we know as divorce.
The 100-minute show features Blossom playing 19 different characters, a challenge that would make the strongest run – but not Blossom.
At 58-years-young, Blossom is embracing the one-woman show as she breathes life into the loveable girl next door, Angela.
With humour, dignity, sarcasm and the occasional glass of wine this is the perfect girls’ night out and a great insight to the female mind for all men.
My Brilliant Divorce is the launching production for the Sunshine Coast’s newest professional theatre company, Mad About Theatre, founded by Noosa-born Madison Thew-Keyworth.
At just 26-years-old, Madison has created a theatre company where local professionals can showcase their talents and audiences can enjoy top-quality theatre.
Catch the not-to-be-missed show at The J Noosa, 60 Noosa Drive, Noosa Heads, on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 April at 7.30pm. Tickets on sale at The J Theatre, online www.thej.com.au or call 5329 6560.
