NoosaCare is built on encouragement, kindness and compassion and have joined the quest to improve the quality and nutrition of food across their two facilities located in Tewantin and Cooroy.
Residents at the Carramar centre in Tewantin and the Kabara centre in Cooroy have had the “delicious” put back into their meal times thanks to the centre’s vision for better care.
Inspired by the much-loved chef Maggie Beer and in collaboration with the Lantern Project and Health professionals from all around Australia, NoosaCare has a strong focus on the need to raise the profile and flavour of food in aged care.
Working in collaboration, NoosaCare participates in monthly meetings that encourage a fresh, new objective to inject soul into menu design, to put pleasure back into food service and to dish up joy to residents through their palate.
With the enthusiasm and creativity of onsite chefs, the NoosaCare journey continues each day.
In conjunction with dietitians, the aged care specialists work to provide choices tailored to residents’ taste and dietary requirements.
NoosaCare believe it is pivotal to source local produce whenever possible and ensure food is cooked from scratch and tastes scrumptious, not only for special occasions but for each day.
