AFTER eight long years, loyal fans can rejoice as a wave of chrome hits Noosa for one night only.
Chrome, the long-awaited album by much-loved Aussie rockers The Screaming Jets, is due to hit the stands on 6 May, and to celebrate, the famous five-piece band is touring a few select venues to give fans a show they won’t forget.
Bass guitarist Paul Woseen said the latest album was inspired by an array of situations and his general observations of the planet, and fans could hear the new tracks as well as all the classics at the coming Noosa gig.
“We’ve played some of the new tracks while we toured last year, just to test them out, and the crowd loved them,” Paul said.
The current formation of The Screaming Jets, who have been together for the past eight years, include founding members Dave Gleeson and Paul, who have been with the band for over 27 years.
“As a band we’ve really evolved, we have the same attitude from when we first started, but the band is what it’s always meant to be.”
Not only did 2013 see the Jets back out on the road, playing to sold-out venues across the country on their Real Deal tour, it also marked the release of Paul’s debut Solo Album Bombido.
“I’ve toured with the solo album and it went better than planned,” Paul said.
“A Noosa solo show isn’t out of the question later in the year.”
