Festival where cool rules

Let the sun shine for the Eumundi Live Wintersun festival this Sunday, from 11am.
Featuring local artists supporting local charities, the Wintersun Festival is the colder month counterpart to the successful Eumundi Live concerts.
The festival will feature two stages with music ranging from funk through to soul, bluegrass, rock, folk and indie-pop.
Gracing the stage will be Elliott the Bull, Tanya Batt, Funkzille, His Merry Men, Kyle Lionhart, Mustered Courage, Christian Patey and Hannah Rosa.
In the spirit of supporting emerging talent, Wintersun will also showcase some of the hottest local acts in the Eumundi Idol.
It will be a day packed with entertainment with roving circus acts, pop-up dancers, arts on the green, plus a kidzone and plenty of food and drink outlets available.
Tickets to the event start from $16.50 with all profits donated to local charities Katie Rose Hospice, Riding for the Disabled and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
Festival organiser Anthony Wynne-Hoelscher said it was important to support local charities and Wintersun is proud to be involved.
“All three we support receive little or no government funding, so it’s crucial our community gets behind these great people to help them continue the fantastic work they do for Eumundi and our Sunshine Coast region,” he said.
The Wintersun Festival will be held on Sunday 29 June, from 11am, at the Eumundi Ampitheatre, Memorial Drive, Eumundi.
Tickets are available now from $22.50 for general admission, $16.50 for concession and $66.50 for a family pass.
