Winter coats are at the ready as an icy blast is expected to sweep the south-east coast of Queensland from tonight.
Chilly temperatures, strong winds and even snow are predicted for the coming week as a cold front pushes across the southern states.
Temperatures in Brisbane are set to dip to as low as five degrees below the July average and snow is expected in towns on the New South Wales border while Noosa residents can expect cool temperatures from tonight with an overnight low of nine degrees expected.
While Noosa won’t see any snow, residents should get the hot water bottle ready with Saturday expected to reach a high of just 18 degrees, while Sunday is expected to be as low as seven degrees with a high of just 20 degrees.
Monday will range between 11 degrees and 20 degrees with a chance of showers while Tuesday is expected to have a cold start at eight degrees before reaching a high of just 19 degrees.
Wednesday and Thursday will be as low at nine degrees and as high as 22 degrees.
