NOOSA’S Jack Sipp has now completed round two of the Kumho Tyre Australian V8 Touring car series at Winton Motor Raceway as part of the V8 Supercar Woodstock Super Sprint.
The 21-year-old finished sixth for the round out of 17 national competitors, which was a great result for Jack for his first visit to Winton.
Jack managed to keep the car straight for the weekend, just missing a stalled car at the start of race three; a moment he said he wouldn’t forget.
Jack said he is looking forward to the next round at Queensland Raceway on 22 July as part of the Coates Hire Ipswich V8 Supercar Super Sprint.
Test day will take place at Queensland Raceway the week prior to the event ensuring the car will be well set up and Jack will be comfortable at his home track.
“It will be great to be back in the 640HP Holden VE and do some testing. The event will be covered live on FOX Sports Friday, Saturday and Sunday and have an estimated track audience of 60,000 people,” Jack said.
Jack made his V8 Supercar debut at Sandown Raceway in Victoria earlier this year.
The Kumho Series is now considered the third tier V8 Supercar Series that allows drivers to gain competition miles in V8 Supercars that have previously raced in the main V8 Supercar Series, giving them a platform to move onto a career if they were to succeed at this level.
