TEWANTIN Noosa RSL goes Celtic tonight at 6pm when Ishka hits the stage spreading an infectious joy that accompanies their buoyant tones.
For a band with a name like Ishka, meaning ‘Water’ in Gaelic, you might be easily fooled into expecting something slow or calming. You would be mistaken though as Ishka are some of the highest energy performers you will ever encounter.
This band has astounding experience across a whole slew of instruments, including: vocals, fiddle, whistle, concertina, guitar, banjo, mandolin, Irish bazouki, bodhran (Irish Drum), bass and lagerphone.
There’s truly nothing forgotten when Ishka arrives to perform. They even pack in a few extra genres, also specialising in Scottish and Australiana as well, just in case there wasn’t already enough variety.
