Biggest country show has X Factor

The 2016 Noosa Country Show is here! Enjoy two days of family fun from 9 September at the Pomona Showgrounds.

IT’S only a matter of days until the Pomona Showgrounds once again plays host to what will be the biggest Noosa Country Show ever.
On 9 and 10 September, animals, side show alley and entertainment will fill a total of 18 competition sections so there is something for everyone to have a go at and get the exhibitor’s discount entry of only $10 for the entire show.
Noosa Country Show president Perene Barker said she’s delighted the shape the show is taking and the efforts of so few for so many over the two days.
“It’s been a real labour of love again this year, but we’re very happy with the way it’s all coming together,” Ms Barker said.
“We’re a passionate show committee and thrilled with the program we were able to assemble for 2016.
“I really want to thank them for their incredible efforts, allowing us to showcase the very best of Noosa Country to so many.
“We have to thank our many sponsors too.
“Noosa Council has been a great support along with Geoff Edwards and the team at the Pomona and Cooroy Community Bank branches of Bendigo Bank.”
This year, The Radiators are headlining an awesome line-up of entertainment including, X Factor’s Jimmy Davis, Laser Light Spectacular followed by KC Fireworks, Monster Trucks on Saturday, Honky Tonk Rodeo with amateur and pro barrel racing, saddle bronc, bareback, poddy calves and, of course, the Bull Ride.
There will be two stages and two days and two nights jammed packed with great bands including Gypsy Hawk, Big Bob’s Blues Band, Robyn and the Hoods, Konspiracy Killers, Barry Charles, Miss Leading, dancers and family entertainment.
Friday night is Rock and Roll Party night with Kevin Barker and the Beagle Babes with heaps of special guests and Saturday night after rodeo, Smokin’ Mirrors will be pumping out the tunes with Burlesque L’ Amour.
There is plenty to see and do over both days.
Kids should bring their pooch for the Lovely Mutley competition after the Dog Show to win great prizes and while they are there.
Visitors can also enter in the free draw to win an IPhone 6 at the Nielsen’s Quality Gravels stall.
Everyone can Meet a Minion, see Dora the Explorer, shake hands with Piggy from Bendigo Bank, see the Memphis Moovers and Kangagang’s Aussie Bush Show.
There will also be face painting, show bags, rides, fairy floss, Dagwood dogs, and all sorts of yummy things to munch on.
Paddock to Plate with master chef Woody Theroul will be cooking up tasty morsels with locally grown produce from stalls onsite and talks on how visitors can grow their own from the experts.
There’s lots more to see and do at an affordable price.
A family pass for one day is $35 and two days for $45. And there is also the exhibitor’s pass of $10 for the entire Noosa Country Show.
