NOOSA Community Gardens are about to harvest the hard-earned fruits of their labour for the season and are proud of what they have been able to grow since re-locating in July.
The garden is part of a community group who pay a small yearly membership and meet on Fridays to work and at the end of the day, share out the abundance of produce with each other.
This is a wonderful community project where a little bit of work yields the rewards of fresh, local grown produce to take home.
The group enjoys regular morning teas and they are very grateful to all of their sponsors who help keep this garden flourishing.
United Synergies, Slow Food Noosa and Noosa Council play an important part in bringing this flourishing garden to life and the group also earn some extra change from plant sales and Bunnings sausage sizzles.
The group meets on Fridays at 8.30am at the garden located in Earl Street, Tewantin. They garden as a group and each session is finished off with a chat, sharing of produce and morning tea for a gold coin donation.
If you would like to become a member, head down to Earl Street any Friday between 8.30-11am or contact Judy Pratt on 0422 828 564.
