First birthday bash for markets

The popular Twilight Markets turn one on Friday 18 November.

THE popular Noosa Junction Twilight Markets will mark its first birthday tomorrow, and everyone is invited to help celebrate the milestone.
Noosa Junction Association president Carole Tretheway said the warm November nights were perfect for celebrating the milestone this Friday 18 November.
“We’re very lucky to have the award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist Lecia Louise to perform her own styles of rock, pop, groove and blues,” she said.
“We also have lots of new food and artisan stalls, joining our long-time favourites. It’s good to see such a mix of our local Junction businesses taking part with a stall, special offers or by staying open a little later. They’re joined by locally based artists, designers, performers, sculptors and foodies – there’s something for everyone.”
Ms Tretheway said henna artists, hair wraps, kids favourite Donna with her balloon creations, locally made clothing, longboard skateboards, artisan chocolates, and a growing row of funky food vans would join the fun.
“We also have the locally run FLAVA bar which helps to fund the markets. With $5 beer and wine, it
won’t hurt to shout a round or two,” she said.
“The Twilight Market is such a celebration of local FLAVA with its unique village vibe. We’ve watched it grow and would like to thank our community for their support.”
The Noosa Junction Twilight Markets are every third Friday of the month with the November markets on Friday 18 November and the December markets planned for Friday 16 December. For more details, go to www.facebook.com/noosajunction.
