Paddle your own canoe

NOOSA Outrigger Canoe Club is inviting the community, local gyms and sport clubs to ‘Come and Try’ outrigger canoeing this Sunday in Noosaville.
Outrigger canoeing is a growing sport, with more and more people recognising it as an exciting and action-packed water sport.
A sport for both women and men of all ages, The Noosa Outrigger Club is the second largest in Australia with competitive paddlers aged from their thirties to eighties.
Noosa competes in the South Queensland zone for both 0C1 and OC2 (one and two person canoes) and the separate OC6 racing series, as well as other races throughout the state and Internationally.
Racing is generally in the ocean, which provides thrilling conditions, and this year Noosa paddlers have also competed in World and National titles, as well as the recent Pan Pacific Masters.
The competitors have achieved excellent results and podium finishes throughout all the year’s races.
If this sounds like a sport that you would like to try, then come along by yourself, with a friend or grab your clubmates and join in the ‘Come and Try’ session on Sunday 20 November.
Meet at Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club, Chaplin Park, Mill Street Noosaville (across the bridge from the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club) bewtween10am-1pm for a great morning on the water.
