THE Noosa Council is urging residents who are yet to join the discussion about Noosa’s new planning scheme to have a say this weekend, or next.
Planning and infrastructure director Martin Drydale said the remaining consultation events, or information ‘pop-ups’, were the last in the initial series of 11 events held across the shire.
“The council is hosting the information ‘pop-ups’ to give residents a say on planning scheme priorities, and to provide feedback on the discussion paper before work starts on the draft,” he said.
Council staff and councillors will be on hand this Sunday 27 November at the Noosa Farmers Market, between 7am and 10am; and next Sunday 4 December in front of the Noosa Heads Surf Club, between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Mr Drydale thanked residents for taking the time to have a say at the previous pop-ups.
“Community input is important at this stage of the new planning scheme’s development because it will help ensure we draft a document that best meets our community’s needs. We’ve been capturing some great feedback, to date,” he said.
Residents can have a say on yoursay.noosa.qld.gov.au until 12 December, after which time the council will be compiling a report on all feedback.
