FRESH from recent awards for best actor at both the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane youth theatre festivals, Harper Ramsey is set to star in Little Seed Theatre Company’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at The J next week.
Directed by David Williams, this production has all the hallmarks of a Little Seed show – a slick production, quirky characterisation and content that inspires the audience.
Little Seed’s proprietor Johanna Wallace said Ramsey was a star of the future and the whole cast has impressed her with their passion for the production.
“Joseph is a classic story of how one person can turn a bad situation into something better,” Ms Wallace said.
“The team’s vocal and stage work are a testimony to the experience gained through many previous shows with Little Seed. It is a privilege to work with this fabulous cast and crew. We can’t wait to wow the Noosa community.”
Musical director Connie Groves and choreographer Kim Abbot have supported and trained 60 performers.
With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, this rock musical follows the story of Joseph, loved by his father, despised by his brothers and sold into slavery.
Staying true to his beliefs, Joseph deals with rejection, despair and temptation, and is supported by a cast of talented young members of the Little Seed Theatre Company along the way.
With little spoken dialogue, universal themes, and catchy music, including the hit ‘Any Dream Will Do’, Joseph is loved by audiences the world over and this performance is no exception.
