MEN’S A Singles Championship Final Sunday 27 November.
Semi-Finals were played in the morning which saw two competitive games.
Danny Crameri defeated Alan Shaw 25-20, in the other semi-final Lindsay Barker defeated Cliff Hackett by the same score.
The final was played in the afternoon with both men playing a game worthy of any final. Men’s President Gary Moss was the official marker. The game result saw Lindsay Barker defeat Danny Crameri 25-17.
Saturday 19 November – Jackpot Pairs
Winners: Lindsay Barker and Jenny Lonie; Runners-up: John Boyle and Ian Sanday.
Tuesday 22 November – Madill’s Fours
Winners: Ann Booth, Val Reinicke, Judy Ingram and Nat McAully: Runners-up: Judy Lord, Sue Gray, Trish Parker and Irene Land.
Wednesday 23 November – Mens Bowls
Winner: David Carrett and Darcy O’Neil (2 wins +23); Runners-up: Arnie Ping, Paul Gallagher and Alan Brooks (2 wins +22).
Thursday 24 November – Jackpot Pairs
Winners: Peter Gale and Robyn McAnelly; Runners-up: Tony Howard and Danny Crameri.
Friday 25 November – Friendly Friday
Winners: Phil Coman, Bill Jones and Carole Jones; Runners-up: Kath Burgess, Ellen Elliott and Neal Elliott.
Margin Jackpot: 29 won by Pam Wald, Carolyn Pulham, Tibor Wald, Philip, Sandra Holm and Denis Robeck.

POMONA BOWLS
WEDNESDAY Ladies played scroungers which was enjoyed by all, with the overall winner being Jeanne Price, who had a “pick of the box“ trophy.
Saturday was the semi-final of the Mixed Fours between Rick Goulding, Gaye Bible, Bill Alford and skip Veronis O’Connor against Glenn Johnson, John Davies, Sharon Foale and skip Tina Camp.
There was some rain, but not enough to halt play. A close game with some excellent shots played, however the end result gave the O’Connor team the win.
The second semi-final between team Dewhirst and team Muir is yet to be played.
On Sunday, the final game of Mountain Men v River Men was held at Pomona.
Luckily the Mountain Men played like champions and won the day by eight shots which means they have won the overall tally for the 2016 year.
Congratulations Mountain Men – and thanks to Greg Hodder for organising the games this year.
