Police look for would-be thief

Police are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a service station in Pomona last night (27 December).
Initial investigations indicate at around 6:35pm a man entered the business on Factory Street, armed with what appeared to be a replica rifle, and demanded money from a 29-year-old male attendant.
The attendant ran from the building and was followed out by the man who then fled the scene in a vehicle driven by another man.
The stolen silver 2014 silver Suzuki Kizashi was last seen travelling north on Factory Street.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 163cm tall, aged in his early twenties with a slim build and was wearing khaki/military-style clothing including a helmet, camouflage paint and a khaki covering over part of his face.
The male driver is described as Caucasian in appearance and wearing a dark t-shirt. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
