The Turtles Swimming Club was proud to present a cheque last week to the Noosa Coast Guard for $1600, for all their unseen hard work.
Quentin is said to be the strongest swimmer in the group. Despite having to overcome a persistent illness, he insists on showing up the other Turtles by regularly swimming three times the required distance at twice the normal pace.
Grateful to receive the Turtle bank cheque was Commander Allan Hall.
Bob is named as the born leader of the group and a great inspiration to them all.
Neville, touted as ‘Sir Nev:’ by the group calls himself Director of Apparel and Styling, responsible for the Turtles’ obvious stylish dress and appearance.
If you can imagine, the boys all have a strong sense of humour and regularly have their tongues in cheek – must be all that fresh salty air and sea water.
The Turtles Swimming Club was founded in 2011. The group swim on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays along Main Beach at Noosa.
