A new wind sock has been installed at the Noosa Tigers AFL grounds on Weyba Road to help emergency helicopters land on the oval.
The wind sock will indicate wind patterns to allow for a smooth landing and take-off for the emergency and private helicopters that have used the oval in the past decade.
The new rotating windsock and installation facility was supplied by Noosa Airfield, a long term supporter of the Noosa Tigers.
