Bargain browsers were out in force over the weekend as Noosa Shire nears the end of its kerbside rubbish pick-up.
Trucks, trailers and even hired trailers combed the streets over the weekend as people trawled through footpath offerings.
Motorists were seen driving slowly through the streets and stopping intermittently to leap from their vehicles and grab a precious find.
The council’s kerbside bulk rubbish collection has passed through Noosa during the month of May, and has this week reached Castaways, Marcus and Peregian beaches.
There is only one week left for Sunshine and Sunrise beach residents to shed unwanted items and for others to pick up a few treasures.
This year council collected the bulk items using three different trucks to assist in recycling.
Residents were asked to segregate items in piles containing useful items that could be easily repaired for reuse, metal items for recycling and other rubbish.
