The Biggest Morning Tea held in Peregian Beach Village was hailed a success as residents and business owners joined in to share cake and raise money for the Cancer Council Queensland.
Organiser Jan Romanowski said Annie’s Books on Peregian had run the event from the bookshop for many years.
This year the knit and charity group, Vegie Village and Peregian Beach Community House lent a hand and baked.
There were plenty of delicious treats on sale and five entries in the competition for the best cake judged by Noosa MP Glen Elms and won by Chevrolet (Chevvy) Jones.
Jan said that, more than a fund-raiser, the event brought people together.
“Everyone goes away feeling very warm,” she said.
