And the laughs keep coming

Prepare yourself for a full physical workout of the best possible medicine – laughter – when stand-up comedians Terry Hansen and Steven J. Whiteley take to the stage at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi on Friday 11 August.
Terry Hansen is a stand-up comedian and actor with 20 years on the national comedy circuit.
He has compered all five Sydney Comedy Stores (and owns five of the six T-shirts); told Le Kuan Yew jokes to Singapore officials in Singapore and lived (it’s how you tell them); appeared as Christopher Skase in Mallorca without being hospitalised or arrested; and was invited to the London Comedy Store 10th Anniversary Best New Comic competition (he lost).
Terry’s stage credits range from Shakespeare and Classic Literature to Spud Murphy’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Cabarets and a dozen different rabbits in a hundred different kids shows. He danced the tango, sang a duet with Reg Livermore (Reg wore the frock), appeared by video link with Douglas Adams; and toured Lang Park with Wally ‘The King’ Lewis.
For more than 10 years and far too early in the morning, Terry has been the funny man for Brisbane’s number one breakfast radio show: Bianca, Terry and Bob on 97.3fm.
Steven J. Whiteley began performing in Adelaide in 1996 and has toured everywhere in and around Australia and overseas.
Nicknamed “The Bogan Prince of Australian Comedy”, he has performed with the likes of Stephen K. Amos, Ed Byrne, Adam Hills, Steady Eddy and Jimeoin, to name just a few. He now performs extensively on cruise ships around the world, but likes to tour Australia when he’s back on home soil.
He has recently released his second DVD titled “You Can’t Say That” following the success of his earlier release “and another thing”.
Steven’s natural storytelling ability makes him a crowd favourite as he recounts personal experiences and observations of everyday life. Quite simply, he’s not to be missed.
Please note, this is an adults only show – some language and concepts may offend.
Tickets: Pre-sale $18 at the Imperial Hotel. Phone 5442 8811 until 4pm on the day. $25 at the door.
Doors open 7.30pm and show starts at 8pm.
The Imperial Hotel’s free courtesy bus operates Friday and Saturday nights from 5pm and Sundays from 2pm travelling to Eumundi, Belli Park, Cooroy, Doonan, Eerwah Vale, North Arm, and Verrierdale. Phone Gary on 0467 414 171 to book.
