It was a nail-biting finish to the semi-final of the Queensland Junior Girls Schools AFL competition last week. St Teresa’s Catholic College and Cleveland State High had scores locked at the full-time siren. It took two periods of extra time for a result to be determined with St Teresa’s coming up the winner with a score of 29-22. The best on ground were Maggie Harmer, Lili Clifton and Lauren Vaughean. This puts the team into the top four in Queensland with the girls competing in the preliminary final in October for the right to play in the grand final.
