Relax, you’re in Noosa!
Tourism Noosa recently launched a new marketing campaign – Noosa, The Relaxation Capital of Australia – targeting the key interstate visitor markets of Sydney and Melbourne during the chill of the southern winter.
The campaign positions Noosa as ‘the capital of whatever you need to relax’ while on holiday, whether that’s mountain biking and hiking or sipping cocktails and taking it easy by the beach.
The campaign has reached audiences across cinema, TV, YouTube and social media as well as making an impact on Sydney buses, city billboards and wrapped around our iconic Melbourne tram. With the warm winter season we’ve enjoyed in Noosa, the timing of the relaxation message has resonated strongly and our interstate visitor numbers and spend have never been stronger.
In tandem with the new campaign, our events calendar also continues to draw visitors to our region to enjoy the best of Noosa, from cycling and sports to performance and art.
Tourism Noosa sponsors a range of events throughout the year that are timed to bring visitors to the region outside of peak periods, and to disperse visitors throughout Noosa.
Recently, we’ve recognised outstanding young hospitality talent at the national Appetite for Excellence awards, welcomed vintage cycle enthusiasts for Noosa Strade Bianche, followed the art trail with Noosa Open Studios, cheered participants at the Pomona King of the Mountain and witnessed world class performances during Noosa Alive!
Right now, the Noosa Jazz Party is in full swing until 3 September and over the coming months we’ll welcome participants for the Noosa International Rugby 7s Festival (13-15 October) and Wild Women Adventure Race (15 October) then take in creative talent during the Noosa Surf Film Festival (6-7 October) and the Noosa International Film Festival (26-29 October).
And of course, the Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival (1-5 November), the world’s largest standard distance triathlon, is back, this year celebrating its 35th year and honouring the incredible contribution of the event’s founder, Garth Prowd OAM.
