Absorbing tours

Back-Roads Touring has spent more than 25 years crafting small group holidays that delve a little deeper than the usual.
These tours do not simply drop by the biggest sights and major cities, but invite you to see a destination through the eyes of the people who know it best: the locals who call it home.
These journeys are made for those absorbing, never-to-be-forgotten views, not for darting from A to B.
Back-Roads will take you to places off the standard tourist trails, and go beyond the facade to learn more about local food, crafts, history and culture.
Each day ends at a cherry-picked boutique retreat loaded with local charm, like country estates, castle hotels, villas and traditional inns.
With a maximum of 18 passengers on any one trip, Back-Roads sets itself apart with a more personalised experience and a relaxed, flexible form of touring.
Unlike large coaches, the luxury mini-coaches can go almost anywhere a car can, meaning travellers can take in scenic back roads instead of run-of-the-mill motorways.
Access the smallest town squares, country lanes and medieval villages, all at a leisurely pace.
Forget sunrise starts and long days hopping on and off the bus.
Back-Roads journeys rarely leave before 8.30am and give each stop the attention it deserves.
Long drives are kept to a minimum.
When it comes to meal time, discover locally sourced, authentic culinary experiences and hand-picked restaurants.
Visit Noosa Travel at 105 Poinciana Avenue, Tewantin, or phone 5449 7000 to find out more.
