Fun off the rugby field

There’s also plenty of fun off the field for the 2017 IGA Market Place Noosa 7s Festival.
Festival spokesman Stewart Nolan said about 1800 competitors were expected at the event and with supporters the event would bring about 5000 people to Noosa.
Stewart said the event was hailed the biggest tournament of its kind in Australia, and there was entertainment to be staged at the club.
“New for this year’s tournament is the Noosa Surf Club Beach Bar where we are bringing the Beach to Noosa Dolphins Rugby Club,” he said.
“Friday night is the welcome party featuring former Aussie 7s star Jordan Tuapoa as guest DJ along with other top local DJs.
Saturday night is the beach party with Tom Tilley from Triple J as the headline act along with other top DJs.
The event will finish off in the Beach Bar on Sunday with a Sunday session after party.
The Noosa Rugby Union grounds Dolphin Oval on Bicentennial Drive, Sunshine Beach, offer a first-class oval and facilities, just minutes from beautiful beaches, restaurants, bars and cafes in Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach. The event is operated in affiliation with the Noosa Dolphins, the largest rugby club on the Sunshine Coast.
