THE Noosa District State High School Interact Club raised $150 for the LifeStraw Program through sausage sizzles run in conjunction with the Cooroy Rotary Club last term.
LifeStraw is a personal water filter, designed to provide safe, clean drinking water in any situation, and it is ideal for hiking, camping, travel emergency preparedness and survival.
LifeStraw makes contaminated or suspect water safe to drink, and with the school’s donation, LifeStraw are able to provide children in Africa with safe drinking water for a school year.
The Noosa High Interact Club was acknowledged and presented with a Presidential Citation for its fundraising efforts last Tuesday at the Year 12 parade.
